About the Website

This website aims to increase public awareness of plastic recycling by providing several research-informed graphics. The process started by reviewing the corresponding literature to map out barriers and enablers of the circular economy of recycling plastic. Then, the study converts the literature review to a cognitive map, displaying barriers and enablers in each section of the plastic value chain, including plastic production, consumption, plastic waste, and landfill. Afterward, the graphical posters were created to show mostly used plastic objects at The University of British Columbia.
